  • IPMA Announces 2025 IPMA Awards Winners

    Award-winning opportunities for in-plants that not only provide national recognition, but also build customer confidence and boost staff morale.

    Kearney, MO – The In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2025 IPMA Awards. The goal of the IPMA Awards program is to identify IPMA member organizations that are excelling and prospering. There are three awards. Each is listed below with the 2025 winner.

    In-Plant of the Year                                        The Church of Scientology
    Purpose: Recognizes an entire in-plant business for outstanding performance. Whether the in-plant is a combination of print and mail, print only or mail only, all members are eligible. While contributions of individual managers are important, this award judges and recognizes the efforts of the entire in-house staff.

    Challenged by the Church Board to reduce real-world costs of printing and mailing an award winning personalized magazine that is a core product for their business. Through 2024 the Print team researched best practices from other in-plants facing similar challenges, technology, mailing rates and practices for multiple areas of the globe. The solution produced a new and innovative method for production of the magazines and an overall reduction in the mailing cost by 42% with a high number of 70% postage rate savings in several countries.


    In-House Promotional Excellence Award     Tennessee Department of General Services
    Purpose: Recognizes excellence in promotional vehicles and/or campaigns developed by and used to promote an organizations in-house printing or mailing facility.
    Executed a picture perfect in-house promotional open house that showcased the available capabilities and services. They developed a theme for the day and maintained consistency using that theme across the promotional materials, booths, and tour. Coordination for the event involved all members of the team as well. Outcomes included a very nice personalized take-away guidebook, guest feedback, and data for engaging clients through follow-up communications.


    Innovation Award                                         Mayo Clinic
    Recognizes an organization that has shown creative and innovative ways to improve a process or business model. Innovation may be technology, customer or process-driven.
    Developed a streamlined solution for knowledge dissemination that advanced the parent organization’s ability to provide better service which directly impacted end users. The award proposal was also impressive because they were able to condense the explanation of such a massive coordination project into only 2 very easy to understand pages. Overall outcomes included an additional 75 hours of time rededicated to patient care for nurses, flexibility in communication channels and patient preference for receiving important medical information, a high degree of personalization, and the ability to continuously update the educational materials.
